Divine justice ....

BD 1525 July 17th 1940

Do not challenge divine justice. The lord of heaven and earth is infinitely long-suffering, patient and merciful. He sees the behaviour of His earthly children, and it does not meet with His approval at all, and yet He still gives them time to change, for His love for His creatures is boundless. However, His sense of justice is just as strong. He cannot give eternal life to those who live against His will. He must do justice to all His creatures. And time and again He tries to guide them onto the right path, time and again He postpones the time of judgement .... He uses every good human impulse to show people the error of their way of life, and His love is constantly expressed towards those who do not regocnize Him. He also tries to awaken in them an understanding for spiritual life, He tries to help them in the most natural way in order to restore their faith, He sends His messengers to them so that they shall stimulate their thoughts into activity, and this in a spiritual sense, so that they take care of their souls. Yet even His patience will come to an end one day and His justice will now have to express itself. For He will not allow Him to be mocked and His gifts to be disregarded from above. He then has to deal harshly with people who want to deny His existence, He has to prove to them that He is .... For He cannot allow humanity to reject all His love and completely exclude Him from life. People are greatly mistaken and yet they do not consider that they lack the power of knowledge .... that they are without discernment in spiritual matters. However, they are not afraid to judge, they criticize God's transmissions, they believe that they have to suffer unjustly and therefore adopt an attitude towards the eternal deity which they are not entitled to. And God still looks down on erring people with love and kindness. But the hour will come when divine wrath will be revealed. The hour will come when all arrogance will be shaken, when the arm of God will be all too clearly recognizable and people who still blaspheme Him today will be seized with horror. And there are an incredible number of them .... They all rejected the saving hand, so they must feel the punishing hand, and good for those who now regocnize the hand of God and bow to His wrath .... God cannot leave unpunished those who go against Him. His love and goodness are indeed infinite, but so is His righteousness, and this causes Him to make Himself evident and to destroy everything that has rejected His love ....
