Transcending Matter ....

No human being can spiritualize his soul, i.e. help it to unite with the spiritual spark within himself which still has turned its heart towards matter, for it will not pay attention to the voice of the spirit within itself, its thinking, wanting and acting will only ever be worldly oriented and it will leave its soul in want while it will do everything to the body which it demands. The soul and the spirit will only come to an agreement when the human being overcomes selfish love, when he eliminates earthly desires and pays attention to what the spirit demands, which tries to draw the soul to the father, which tries to determine it to establish the connection with Me so that I Myself can now also influence the soul through the spirit. Thus it must always be kept in mind that there are two kingdoms which try to captivate the human being but which completely differ from each other in their nature .... The earthly kingdom only offers material goods, the spiritual kingdom, however, such goods which are imperishable .... But the latter cannot be perceived as well as earthly goods, and therefore the human being seeks to rather come into possession of that which is visible and tangible. Spiritual goods, however, are not so openly perceptible and therefore only few people strive for them. But the spiritualization of the soul is the aim and purpose of earthly life, because the soul then changes its abode and passes over into the spiritual kingdom when the hour of its departure from this earth has come; then the body and with it everything it had striven for on earth will perish .... but the soul will remain, and if it has already been able to achieve spiritualization on earth then it will enter the spiritual kingdom in a radiant garment of light and will be blissfully happy .... But if the body has enjoyed priority in earthly life, then the soul is pitiful, for it cannot pass away, but according to its state of maturity its further life is then in the spiritual kingdom. And this often also means a spiritual standstill, which can be followed by a decline into the abyss. For then it has covered its earthly life in vain, it has not achieved spiritual progress because it has attached too much value to matter instead of overcoming it. The human being has to pass through the material world, he has to try to become master but he must not become a servant or slave to matter, for then he will not progress in his development, then the soul will not attain the maturity which will help it to unite with its spirit within itself .... The human being has to overcome selfish love, then he will be master of matter, then he can divest himself of it, and then he will also do so joyfully, and then he will have recognized his purpose of earthly life and also fulfilled it. Then he will willingly let himself be guided by his spirit, and thus I Myself will be able to influence him and he will have to ascend irrevocably, because My working in him will then truly be spiritually successful .... because the spirit in him will then push towards the eternal father-spirit and the unification can take place, which precisely requires a spiritualized soul which has completely detached itself from matter, which only strives for the spiritual kingdom and has taken the path back into its father's house. And the human being should only ever ask himself to what extent his love still applies to himself .... For only when he has overcome himself will his love for Me have reached the degree that the union can take place, which is now eternally indissoluble ....
